Associate Director of Engagement and Economic Mobility

MAAC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Engagement and Economic Mobility to lead our Family and Community Engagement and Economic Mobility initiatives within the Child Development Program (CDP).
The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership and comprehensive oversight for our programs, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for families and facilitating access to critical services.
This role plays a key part in empowering families to achieve economic mobility and fostering community partnerships that advance collective well-being.
The Associate Director will be thoroughly committed to MAAC's strategy and mission and will demonstrate supportive, positive, and engaged leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing internal and external relationships, driving meaningful, measurable outcomes for families, and promoting equity, community empowerment, and systemic change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for Family and Community Engagement and Economic Mobility initiatives.
- Oversee the planning and execution of economic mobility activities, including Apprenticeship programming.
- Foster and manage community engagement initiatives, building and sustaining relationships with community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, and public entities.
- Collaborate with team members to set measurable goals and ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
- Mentor and guide department managers in monitoring and evaluating parent education and economic mobility programs.
- Provide technical assistance in areas of program compliance, operational management, and adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Office of Head Start Program Self-Assessment Plan.
- Oversee the effective management of budgets, including planning, monitoring, and reconciliation.
- Foster a culture of shared decision-making within the team and ensure collaborative problem-solving and active participation in department-wide initiatives.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in business administration, Social Science, Sociology, Cultural Studies, Behavioral Science, Human Development, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree with emphasis in Leadership, Public Policy, Business, Program Administration, or a related field is desirable.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in program management, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience managing and supervising subordinate staff.
- Experience with nonprofit, educational, community engagement, program services, and/or economic development is desirable.
