About the Job

United Engineers & Constructors, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Supervising Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our electrical discipline, you will be responsible for leading a team of electrical engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of electrical engineers in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for power plants and industrial facilities.
  • Oversee the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation related to electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations, including IEEE, EPRI, and industry codes.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other plant systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and designers to ensure high-quality electrical designs.

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited 4-year university.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in any state in the U.S. with ability to obtain licensure in other states by comity.
  • 15 years overall experience in the design of electrical systems for power plants or heavy industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with standard plant design processes, and experience preparing engineering drawings including but not limited to wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Familiarity with IEEE, EPRI, industry codes and standards.
  • Good written and oral communication skills. Must be able to interface with other members of the project team including other disciplines, client, contractors and vendors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Teams.
  • Must be a Citizen of the U.S. or Canada and able to obtain unescorted access to a U.S. Nuclear Power Plant.

Preferred Requirements:

  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 15 years of conventional generation or industrial design experience.
