About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Fabricator Assembler to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation.

Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine fabrication and assembly operations on metal and non-metallic parts. This includes following prescribed procedures, drawings, and operation sheets to assemble firewalls, ducts, tubes, and other standard subassemblies.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate small detail parts and perform routine layout work as necessary
  • Drill, grind, trim, saw, shear, punch, and nibble parts using available hand, power tools, and machines in area
  • Perform minor bending or straightening operations and use clecos, screws, bolts, clamps, etc., to secure parts to jigs or fixtures
  • Shrink or stretch assemblies to obtain specified quality standards
  • Direct and instruct one or two helpers and assist higher grade workers in accordance with work assignments

Requirements:

  • A knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and its application to reading drawings
  • Use of measuring instruments such as scales, micrometers, squares, etc.
  • Previous sheet metal layout and forming experience is preferred
