Job ID: 682812BR Date posted: Dec. 17, 2024Description:Follow machine assembly drawings, manufacturer's manuals, general instructions, and standard practices to locate source of trouble, disassemble, repair, adjust, align, replace and/or install parts, and reassemble, ensuring safe operation of complex CNC machinery, lathes, presses and ovens. Repair and adjust mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and parts, install new units or fixtures on machines, and make modifications or alterations in accordance with instructions or manufacturer's specifications and directions. Perform other machine maintenance and repair operations where trouble may be difficult to locate, and clues can be given relative to symptoms and component or part requiring attention. Assist higher-grade mechanics with more difficult repair operations. Make up brackets, straps, and other simple parts. Lubricate, clean, inspect, and perform other preventative maintenance operations per manufacturer's specifications and standard procedures to maintain machines and equipment in satisfactory operating condition. Report recurring malfunctions, potential trouble sources, worn or faulty parts, unusual conditions, or cases where trouble appears to be more complicated than reported to higher graded worker or foreman. Make out and maintain machine reports for permanent record. When emergency or unusual conditions arise in the operations of the Maintenance department or at request of supervisor, may be assigned to other maintenance duties usually of a less skilled nature. Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety. Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.Basic Qualifications:-3+ years of experience of general mechanic and maintenance work, Experience with operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting facilities equipment.-Requires ability to work from manufacturer's manuals and complicated drawings of various machines and use precision measuring instruments. Also requires trade knowledge of machine operation and construction, including gear, differentials, lubrication system, pumps, and working knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems, Equivalent to 4 years technical trades training.-Follow general instructions and standard methods and procedures to diagnose and correct machine troubles. Exercise care and judgment to machine, fabricate, or order replacement parts within determined limits. -Work to exacting tolerances, read and interpret blueprints and engineering sketches and manufacturer's manuals.-Use judgment to determine whether machine can be operated through shiftDesired Skills:The ability to think critically, the drive to determine how equipment works and to break down and repair to a component level. The ability to read, interpret, and comprehend mechanical schematics.
