General Responsibilities:
Accountable for the ongoing identification and mitigation of cyber threats within the organization's computing landscape. Identify vulnerabilities in the company's technological framework (software, hardware, networks) and devise innovative strategies to protect it. Plan, execute, enhance, or oversee security protocols for computer networks and information systems. Ensure the establishment of robust security measures to safeguard digital assets and critical electronic infrastructure. Serve as the primary internal liaison for managing business-impacting cybersecurity incidents and malware outbreaks. Availability during off-hours when necessary.

Core Job Functions:
  • Formulate strategies to shield computer data from unauthorized access, alteration, destruction, or exposure, and respond to urgent data processing needs.
  • Examine cases of cybersecurity breaches and engage with offenders to prevent future incidents.
  • Design, implement, and refine security protocols and measures.
  • Establish guidelines and strategies to protect digital assets and information systems from unauthorized modifications, access, and destruction.
  • Oversee data and manage security access.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and security audits.
  • Perform risk evaluations and tests on the data processing system to confirm operational efficiency and security measures.
  • Carry out internal security assessments.

  • Proactively identify potential security incidents, alerts, and crises to reduce risks.
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team on managing network security, intrusion prevention, detection systems, and encryption techniques.
  • Investigate security breaches to determine underlying causes.
  • Recommend and implement suitable tools and countermeasures.
  • Develop, enforce, and update corporate security policies.
  • Provide security training and support to colleagues in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Coordinate security initiatives with external partners.
Core Job Functions Continued:
  • Address eDiscovery requests, data collection inquiries, and digital forensic tasks.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation outside standard hours as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information, adhering to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure secure handling and transmission of protected health information for employees, patients, and others as required.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.
  • Comply with all safety standards established by management.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Experience:
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a security analyst capacity.
  • Experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.
  • Knowledge of anti-virus and anti-malware solutions.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, computer networking, routing, and switching.
  • Proficiency in firewalls, proxies, IDS, IPS, and security devices.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of network protocols and packet analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as C#, VB, Python, C, .NET.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred certifications include CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) and ECSA (EC-Council Certified Security Analyst).
