The Retail Performance Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of store activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees the daily tasks of assigned associate-level personnel; offers mentorship and training to team members to guarantee efficient operations and adherence to store protocols that enhance the customer experience.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service through a deep understanding of product features, advantages, and availability; interacts with customers to comprehend their needs and preferences regarding merchandise, aiding them in making informed purchase decisions. Upholds Columbia Sportswear Company's values to foster customer service excellence and teamwork.
  • Fosters a store culture of collaboration; exemplifies high professional standards of conduct; embodies Columbia Sportswear Company values. Ensures associates receive comprehensive training in Product Knowledge relevant to their specific areas.
  • Collaborates with the store leadership team on policies, procedures, and standards pertinent to the responsibilities of the assigned area.
  • Performs essential Key holder responsibilities as required, which may include opening and closing the store.
  • Maintains compliance with company standards and policies; ensures staff adherence to procedures and quality benchmarks; actively works to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
  • Salesfloor Management - Facilitates department and technology training for fellow associates. Executes register overrides and contributes to achieving store KPIs.
  • Recruitment and Training - Aids in the training, onboarding, and recognition of employees.
  • Operational Support - Assists with register overrides, manages checkout lines, and ensures efficient handling of return-to-stock items.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • No specific educational requirements (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
  • Up to 2 years of experience in a relevant role or specialization
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Knowledge primarily centered on customer service and fundamental store operations, along with proficiency in computer applications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Regularly engages in a dynamic environment that may involve physical activity (i.e., requires the ability to frequently move about) and can be physically demanding (often lifting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may frequently utilize specialized equipment, and may encounter dust and noise.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to work in a stationary position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may vary seasonally and in response to business trends or forecasts. Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws is maintained when assessing availability.
