Job Title: Patient Access Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Analyst to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely patient registration, scheduling, and authorization processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze denials to identify root causes and trends
  • Provide feedback to management for future education and training
  • Perform reviews of access data elements, including real-time eligibility and insurance plan codes
  • Work with access assigned work queues to correct edits causing stop bills
  • Validate National Provider Identifier numbers to ensure timely billing standards are met
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience in hospital access management or a large health insurer approval process
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and recall
  • Proficient with computer applications, including Google and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with understanding and applying logic to registration errors and claim rejections
  • Experience with EPIC
