Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patient information, while providing exceptional customer service to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain complete and accurate collection of patient demographic information
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures
  • Register patients and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalency required
  • Completion of a medical terminology course and/or medical program
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
  • Knowledge of insurances and computer literacy
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) through National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) required
Working Environment

This role will be performed in a clean, well-ventilated indoor environment, requiring standing and walking. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
