Job Title: Staff Nurse LPN

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse LPN to join our team at United Church Homes, Inc. As a Staff Nurse LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate care delivery interventions for residents in assigned areas, ensuring adherence to professional practice standards, physician's orders, and community policies.
  • Assess residents, under RN supervision, and participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care delivery.
  • Administer medications and treatments, as required, according to approved nursing protocols, including IVs if certified.
  • Monitor residents' vital signs and hydration status, utilizing resident care equipment and ancillary supplies.
  • Document resident responses to treatments/medications, response or lack of progress toward care plan or restorative goal.
  • Participate in care conferences and evaluate effectiveness of care interventions, identifying problems/trends and developing alternative interventions.
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a state-approved pre-licensure nursing education program.
  • Active LPN license conferred by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Must obtain and maintain mandatory, state, and federal requirements and certifications for practice or occupation.
  • CPR certification.
  • Good base knowledge of pharmacology, treatments, issues specifically concerning the elderly, dementia, various diseases, and side effects.
  • Demonstrated people skills, with special attention to interfacing with patients' family members.
  • Working knowledge of different cultures and religions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience in nursing and/or long-term care.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, the Internet, and knowledge of basic office equipment.
