Responsibilities:
Assist in the responsibility for total patient care within the nursing unit and management of the unit.
Provide direct nursing care to patients.
Carry out administrative and patient care duties as directed by the ADON or DON.
Supervise and assume responsibility for the actions and care delivered by nurse associates, including monitoring and responding to policies and procedures.
Administer medication and treatment per physician orders specific to the patient.
Instruct and observe care implementation per physician/clinician or standard of practice.
Assist and direct in the admission/discharge process of patients.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a current license in the state in which they are practicing.
Maintain licensure (complete CE requirements) and CPR certification.
Have a sincere desire to work with the elderly and enjoy working directly with residents, staff, and families.
Possess good organizational skills and follow-up when patient situations require.
