Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Quality Improvement Manager to join our team at YAI. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies, as well as identifying and mitigating quality and compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular internal reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Provide on-site support during external audits and surveys.
  • Support leadership in identifying and mitigating quality and compliance risks, and identifying opportunities for training and staff development.
  • Participate in planning meetings related to the development of new sites and programs to provide feedback from a person-centered, quality perspective.
  • Act as a liaison between leadership and external agencies as needed.
  • Assist program leadership in developing a Plan of Corrective Action in response to external audit findings, and complete follow-up visits to ensure implementation.
  • Use education and internal auditing to ensure that programs deliver individualized services and protect the rights of individuals supported.
  • Provide guidance and support related to reportable incidents and occurrences, as well as compliance and HIPAA concerns.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable incident reporting requirements, and investigate incidents and other sensitive situations.
  • Write and submit complete investigative reports, and maintain a tracking system for incidents and perform data analysis.
  • Participate in agencywide committees, and may act as chairperson as requested.
  • Complete audits and provide feedback on findings, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, business, compliance, or a related field, and three years of experience in providing services, oversight, and support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment and passion for the organization's mission.
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity, high emotional intelligence, and well-developed independent thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information and files.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment, and to manage one's time effectively.
  • Ability to travel regularly to locations associated with assigned settings, and to other YAI locations as requested.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to quickly learn new software and/or electronic systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with ability to work well under pressure and prioritize to meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in any field indicated above.
  • Experience completing audits and/or reviews of internal systems to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Previous experience conducting investigations in education and/or social service settings.
  • Knowledge of State, Local, or Regulatory Agency rules and regulations applicable to assigned settings.
  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or related training/certification.
  • Successful completion of investigator training and/or related certification.
