Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Tandym Group. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate the operations of the wax, treeing, shell molding, and pouring departments to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Ensure Production Schedules are met with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Monitor and Maintain the quality of wax patterns, tree assemblies, shell molds, and pouring processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and Implement standard operating procedures and best practices for all front-end processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Train, Mentor, and Manage a team of skilled workers to ensure they adhere to safety and quality standards, and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and quality control teams to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met, and implement changes as needed.
  • Maintain Accurate Production Records and reports to track production performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee Inventory Management for materials used in the front-end processes to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Continuously Seek Opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction to drive business growth and profitability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience in a supervisory role within a foundry or casting manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high performance.
  • Strong Problem-Solving abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP (Epicor preferred), with the ability to use technology to drive business efficiency.
  • Ability to Read and Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and communicate effectively with technical teams.
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment and manage multiple priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
