Job Summary

Foresight Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member and Provider Support: Provide timely and effective support to our members and providers, handling requests and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Task Coordination: Collaborate with department leads and team members to ensure tasks are completed promptly and to a high standard.
  • Meeting Attendance: Attend meetings as required to stay up-to-date with relevant changes and developments.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate scheduling, medication refill requests, prior authorizations, lab orders, and genetic testing, as well as assisting with documentation requests.
  • Metrics and Performance: Complete daily tasks to achieve projected metrics and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Conflict Resolution: Effectively utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to resolve member issues and provide support to distressed members.
Requirements
  • Experience: One-plus year of experience in the mental health field or a clinical setting, preferably as a pharmacy technician or medical assistant.
  • Customer Experience: One-plus year of customer experience.
  • EHR Systems: Proficiency in EHR systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress and crisis situations.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to work on a computer for prolonged periods while sitting at a desk.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, and a willingness to ask for help when needed.
