About the Position

The Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, case management, and physical therapy services to physically disabled children.

Job Summary

Under general direction, this position will provide physical therapy services to physically disabled children, including assessment, case management, and treatment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric populations and be able to communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy services to physically disabled children, including assessment, case management, and treatment.
  • Confer with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the type of treatment required for each case.
  • Evaluate therapeutic techniques, including gait training, transfer training, and therapeutic exercise.
  • Participate in a comprehensive team approach to client services, including consultation with occupational therapists and other community team members.
  • Complete medical records, including evaluation reports, equipment assessments, progress summaries, and clinical notes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current physical therapy license in the state of California.
  • One year of experience as a Physical Therapist, including pediatric experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
