Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Summary:
  • This position is responsible for the installation, retrofit, and repair of residential HVAC systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Service all HVAC products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Diagnose and repair units using hand tools, wiring schematics, or installation manuals.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at customers' locations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Maintain equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
  • Represent the company as a direct customer contact.
  • Provide re-training and follow-up training at customer sites.
  • Provide sales leads to the Estimator.
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
  • Document work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration.
  • Record parts, material, labor, subs, and other cost data per assignment and return unused resources.
  • Read and interpret product specifications using experience in working with building specifications, drawings, and designs.
  • Study industry literature, manuals, and training materials to continue developing a better understanding of the HVAC industry.
  • Attend referred training programs designed to further working knowledge of the industry.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Deliver parts to job sites as necessary.
Requirements:
  • 06A or 06B License in Washington State
  • EPA Certified
