Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and coordinate the dispatch of truck drivers, ensuring timely deliveries between warehouses.

- Manage documentation such as shipping papers, bills of lading, and freight invoices to adhere to governmental and industry regulations, facilitating seamless logistics operations.

- Provide shipment updates to internal teams, including production, planning, and web departments.

- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and warehouses to arrange transportation and address any issues that may arise during transit.

- Ensure compliance of all drivers with Company, Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations (DOT/HOS), including proper check-in/out procedures and required pre-trip safety inspections.

- Demonstrate familiarity with supply chain processes and logistics operations.

- Generate and deliver necessary reports promptly to support management decision-making.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in logistics coordination is preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

- Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other relevant software (e.g., MS Office, Google Suites).

- Knowledge of phone etiquette and experience using phone systems for dispatching.
