Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team at the School District of Lancaster. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Principal/Assistant Principal/Department Supervisor, ensuring the efficient operation of the school office and administrative department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and promote a welcoming customer-focused office environment.
  • Provide primary secretarial services, including preparing, editing, and managing correspondence, communications, reports, and presentations.
  • Facilitate meeting agendas, logistics, and meetings.
  • Support the budget, inventory, and purchasing processes, including contract management.
  • Manage complex projects as assigned.
  • Obtain, organize, and enter pertinent data in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Establish and maintain records, filing, and scanning systems.
  • Serve as a vital liaison for communication involving staff, students, parents, and community.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of administrative support experience and/or equivalent training required.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles.
  • Ability to operate a computer and applicable software and devices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with strong knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of customer service skills and professionalism.
