Clinical Dietitian II

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian II to join our Outpatient Nutrition Services team at UNC Medical Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in coordinating evidence-based medical nutrition therapy for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess nutritional needs using standardized practice and critical thinking, identifying nutrient requirements for assigned patients.
- Act as a resource person for the clinical team, serving as a liaison between medical specialties and ancillary services.
- Assist in achieving compliance with regulatory agency standards, participating in quality improvement initiatives and cross-training.
- Develop, implement, and monitor nutrition care plans, providing education using established behavioral change techniques.
- Lead, direct, and manage the work assigned to others within the department, documenting all aspects of nutrition care in the medical record.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and completion of a Coordinated Program in Dietetics or Dietetic Internship accredited by ACEND.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification and licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) in North Carolina.
- Three years of experience as an RD, with two years in a clinical specialty or five years of experience as an RD.
