We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian II to join our team at UNC Medical Center. As a key member of our Outpatient Nutrition Services department, you will play a critical role in providing evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and address the nutritional needs of patients using standardized practice and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive nutrition care plans.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on healthy eating habits and nutrition-related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures.
- Lead and direct the work of others within the department, including precepting interns and supporting the development of clinical dietitians.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related field from a US regionally accredited university or college.
- Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Three years of experience as an RD, with two years of experience in a clinical specialty area.
- Knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and ability to apply all steps of the process.
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy.
