We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian II to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a critical role in coordinating evidence-based medical nutrition therapy that is integrated and compatible with patient-focused medical goals.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) through nutrition-focused physical exams to assess nutritional needs and identify nutrient requirements for assigned patients.
- Act as a resource person for the clinical team and serve as a liaison between other medical specialties and ancillary services.
- Assist in achieving compliance with regulatory agency standards to continuously improve the safety and quality of care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor nutrition care plans and participate in discharge planning processes.
- Provide education using established behavioral change techniques and lead, direct, and manage the work assigned to others within the department.
- Bachelor's degree from a US regionally accredited university or college with coursework accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
- Master's in a related dietitian field for new graduates becoming licensed after 1/1/2024.
- Completion of a Coordinated Program in Dietetics or Dietetic Internship accredited by ACEND.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) by The Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) and Licensed as a Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) by the North Carolina Board of Dietetics and Nutrition.
- Three years of experience as an RD with two years of experience in the area of clinical specialty or five years of experience as an RD.
