Orthopedic Patient Service Coordinator

As a Patient Service Coordinator in our orthopedic practice, you will be essential in ensuring smooth communication and efficient operations. Your primary duties will involve managing incoming calls, organizing patient appointments, and facilitating various administrative tasks within the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to phone inquiries and assisting patients with their appointment needs.
  • Coordinating in-house MRI and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) scheduling.
  • Directing calls to the relevant departments as necessary.
  • Efficiently managing fax communications.
  • Serving as the initial point of contact for patients, acting as their dedicated scheduling representative.

Qualifications:

  • A positive and approachable demeanor in all interactions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a capacity to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Empathetic and skilled in active listening to address both patient and provider inquiries.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous experience in scheduling within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

This position is full-time and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan, health and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, paid time off, and vision coverage.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
