Phone Room Customer Service Representative

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Phone Room Customer Service Representative to join our Orthopedic Associates team. As a key member of our front-line customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients and providers, ensuring seamless communication and scheduling processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Answer phone calls, schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments
  • Complete tasks such as scheduling in-house MRIs, DME appointments, transferring calls to the correct departments, and sorting faxes
  • Work as a scheduling agent, providing personalized service to patients and providers
  • Utilize scheduling software, including Nextgen and Phoenix
Requirements:
  • Positive and upbeat attitude at all times
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Word
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Multi-tasker with attention to detail

  • Desire to learn new things and improve processes
  • Self-awareness and situational awareness
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant experience scheduling in a medical office environment
  • Thorough understanding of medical office workflows
  • 1 year of experience working with EHR
