Systems Support Specialist Job Description

A3 Technology, Inc. is actively looking for a mid-level Systems Support Specialist to assist with the Terminal Precipitation on the Glass system. This system is designed to process numerical weather prediction (NWP) precipitation data from various meteorological sensors and relay it to the STARS platform. The position encompasses supporting design and development, maintenance strategy formulation, testing, and transition planning for maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in requirements analysis, system design, development, testing, integration, installation, and upkeep of computer systems.
  • Assisting in system development, testing, integration, and deployment processes.
  • Evaluating and providing feedback on system engineering documentation, testing protocols, and maintenance strategies.
  • Engaging in system design evaluations and technical discussions.
  • Possessing a technical grasp of systems, databases, networking, computing environments, and virtualization technologies.
  • Creating and managing system engineering documentation, requirements specifications, and testing documentation.
  • Participating in system testing activities as a contributor.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Readiness to travel and offer on-call support at various sites.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in requirements specification and maintenance strategy development.
  • Background in system testing, including issue documentation, troubleshooting, and test report creation.
  • Strong technical writing and communication abilities.

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED with ten years of relevant experience OR
  • Associate degree with eight years of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor's Degree with six years of relevant experience.
