Technical Specialist in Electron Microscopy

As a Technical Specialist in Electron Microscopy, you will play a vital role in our laboratory team, working closely with clinicians and researchers to provide high-quality diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily technical and administrative functions of the electron microscopy laboratory.
  • Perform gross microscopy, fixation, processing, and embedding of kidney, nerve, and muscle biopsies.
  • Operate Transmission Electron Microscopes and identify areas of interest for pathologic examination.
  • Collaborate with renal pathologists and neuropathologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality improvement programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Appropriate specialist certification from ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) (Preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or other biological or chemical science or U.S. equivalent (substantiated by foreign credential evaluation statement) (Required)
  • + 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (Required)
