Assistant General Manager Job Description

At Team Car Care Dba Jiffy Lube, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our management team, you'll play a crucial role in driving sales success, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies for revenue growth, guest engagement, and quality control.
  • Lead by example, building a positive and productive team culture that emphasizes excellent customer service, teamwork, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control measures, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist with budgeting, sales forecasting, financial performance, and expense controls.
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to the team, ensuring seamless communication and execution of tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable service center, adhering to the Guide to Excellence (GTE) standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to automotive technicians and customer service associates.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, as needed.
  • Assist the General Manager in building and maintaining an engaged workforce that reflects customer volume and business needs.
  • Lead daily team huddles and store meetings, setting the direction for achieving business goals.
  • Manage inventory and product orders to meet business needs.
  • Adhere to and enforce all rules and regulations that maintain a safe and productive work environment for teammates and guests.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of retail management experience; professional automotive experience is not required.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups of people.
  • Sound business sense and comprehensive understanding of the retail industry.
  • Ability to analyze, comprehend, and recommend financial objectives that increase sales and service results.
  • Positive, helpful attitude, and professional conduct and appearance always.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, high-performance retail environment.
  • Guest-first mindset.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work in varying temperatures, and lift up to 50 pounds.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting hourly rate of $18.00, with opportunities for incentive bonus pay. Enjoy a flexible schedule, with Monday to Friday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays off.
