Boston, Massachusetts, United States Brigham and Women's Hospital Full time
Position Overview

Brigham and Women's Hospital is in search of a distinguished PhD-level Research Investigator specializing in the fields of molecular and cellular biology, particularly in immunology and aging. This role will focus on advancing clinical and experimental transplantation initiatives.

The primary aim of our research is to explore organ rejuvenation techniques, including perfusion and preservation, alongside investigating immunosenescence. Additionally, we delve into the cellular signaling pathways that influence organ aging and the immune responses associated with age.

Our laboratory is dedicated to identifying key factors that drive the aging process and to innovating methods for organ rejuvenation that can be translated into clinical practice.

We also prioritize understanding the mechanisms of aging and their implications for alloimmunity, with the goal of developing age-specific therapeutic strategies.

Moreover, our research encompasses the metabolic factors affecting organ rejection and the impact of biological sex on alloimmunity.

This position presents exceptional scholarly and scientific opportunities within a supportive and collaborative environment, extending across various departments affiliated with Harvard Medical School.

We seek a motivated and creative individual who will take the lead on ongoing research projects, including manuscript preparation and grant writing. Additional responsibilities will involve mentoring graduate students and junior post-doctoral researchers.
