Position Overview
As a vital member of the team at Tanner Medical Center, the Referral and Front Office Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of both incoming and outgoing referrals. This role includes comprehensive oversight of surgical scheduling and the administration of prepayment plans for our medical practice.
Essential Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of one year in a related field is essential. A solid understanding of standard operational practices is necessary.
Licenses and Certifications:
NONE REQUIRED
Key Competencies:
- High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required.
- Strong ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Highly organized with proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and medical record management software.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating positivity and the ability to escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to de-escalate patient concerns effectively.
- Ability to mentor and hold team members accountable for delivering exceptional customer service.
