Job Title: EHS Specialist

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective EHS management strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a comprehensive multi-year strategy to maintain the company's safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and monitor EHS management strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and a culture of zero.
  • Provide technical expertise on regulatory compliance and recommend improvements to EHS processes.
  • Conduct risk analysis, injury-free events, and safety interactions to identify areas for improvement.
  • Audit and monitor activities to ensure compliance with safety and health regulatory requirements.
  • Provide effective safety communication and liaison support between employees, facility management, and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead and oversee the Kaizen Optimizer Lean Optima and operational audit programs to ensure compliance in EHS.
  • Conduct EHS inspections and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations.
  • Procure and maintain records, data, or information necessary to prepare reports and respond to agency requests.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports and responses to informational requests.
  • Conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and provide corrective action.
  • Train management and personnel on incident investigations and proper documentation.
  • Measure plant performance and benchmark against best-in-class manufacturing.
  • Provide industrial hygiene support to evaluate employee noise and other health exposures.
  • Develop and implement EHS training programs for plant personnel.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of the VPP process and various safety regulations or standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards, including ergonomics, machine guarding, electrical hazards, LOTO, etc.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours or shifts and travel as required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make presentations comfortably and professionally to large groups.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Adept at resolving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects at once and providing feedback to managers.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or other scientific program applicable to the safety field.
