We are in search of a seasoned and results-oriented Steel Project Coordinator to join their workforce and manage significant projects.

The Steel Project Coordinator will be tasked with the holistic management of steel construction initiatives. This encompasses overseeing project planning, execution, and completion, ensuring that all project specifications and timelines are adhered to. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in steel construction, outstanding project management capabilities, and the aptitude to effectively lead teams.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
  • Proven project management experience within the steel construction domain.

Compensation: $100,000-$150,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Supervise and manage all stages of assigned steel construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and adherence to project timelines.
  • Plan Analysis: Review and interpret construction project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Material Acquisition: Generate Purchase Requests for essential raw materials required for fabrication.
  • RFI and Change Order Management: Process Requests for Information (RFI) and change orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Scheduling: Oversee and schedule the processing of shop drawings, shop fabrication, and field installation.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain open lines of communication with clients and inspectors to ensure seamless project advancement.
  • Site Coordination: Attend and actively engage in construction site meetings.
  • Cost Management: Implement cost control measures to enhance project profitability.
  • Team Development: Train and assign various projects to Project Engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience in the steel construction field.
  • Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Certifications: PMP certification is advantageous.
