Job Summary:

The Health Services Assistant provides critical support to the District Nurse in managing the school's Health Services Office. This role involves assisting students with daily routine health care, medications, treatments, episodic and first aid care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with medical needs and possess strong clerical and computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with daily routine health care, medications, and treatments
• Provide episodic and first aid care to injured students and staff
• Maintain accurate records of student health information
• Collaborate with parents, staff, and the District Nurse to ensure student safety and continuity of care
• Administer medications according to district policy and procedures as delegated by the District Nurse

Requirements:

• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification
• Experience working with students with medical needs
• Strong clerical and computer skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Work Environment:

The Health Services Assistant will work in a fast-paced school environment, interacting with students, staff, and parents. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
