Job Summary:

Solvere Technical Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting analyses of propulsion systems and types, leading the development of technical data packages and reviews, and conducting trade studies regarding ship configuration.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of propulsion systems and types to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Lead the development of technical data packages and reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct trade studies regarding ship configuration to identify optimal design solutions.
  • Familiarity with ABS, NVR, and commercial ship design rules and regulations is required.

Security Clearance:

A security clearance is required for this position, and the selected candidate must be able to obtain a CAC card. Additionally, the candidate must be a citizen of the United States.

Education:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical, engineering, or marine-related field from an ABET-accredited institution is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years' documented experience in developing ship propulsion and control systems, machinery arrangements, weight assessments, and conducting trade studies on the configuration of propulsion and associated components is required.
  • Experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs is preferred.
