Job Summary

The Enteral Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient care services, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This includes processing inbound orders from referral sources, responding to patient requests, and utilizing our enterprise system to accurately process new patient orders and re-orders for existing patients.

Responsibilities
  • Onboard new patients by hospital discharge or company transition
  • Provide resupply orders to patients on service
  • Review patient records to ensure medical necessity is met for services ordered by physicians
  • Perform insurance and benefit verification; obtain prior authorizations
  • Other additional job duties
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Experience with insurance payers is preferred
  • Experience with patient admissions in a similar referral source-based practice setting and customer service in an inbound/outbound customer service center is strongly preferred
  • Customer service experience in a Home Medical Equipment company is strongly preferred
  • Previous customer service experience in a healthcare services business is preferred
  • Previous experience working with enteral therapy patients or pediatric enteral nutrition formulas is highly desirable
