Position Overview:
This role is fully remote and primarily serves the western region of the United States.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Risk Control Representative to focus on our extensive fleet motor carriers.

Ideal candidates will possess a desire to elevate their Risk Control expertise and collaborate with our largest insured clients to create meaningful impacts.


In this capacity, you will engage with the management teams of our insured customers to propose and evaluate risk control strategies and initiatives.

Our Risk Control Representatives play a vital role in the success of Great West's business development, reinforcing our commitment to being the leading insurance provider across all business segments.

You will collaborate with our National Accounts team to secure and maintain profitable accounts by assessing risks and exposures. Furthermore, you will work with our current and prospective insureds to devise strategies aimed at risk mitigation.

This position offers the chance to apply your analytical skills as you analyze loss trends and safety requirements.


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in motor carrier fleet operations, insurance risk management, or safety consulting within the motor carrier sector.
  • Safety certifications or a willingness to obtain them.
  • Proven leadership experience in safety, operations, or risk management.
  • Strong networking, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for coaching, educating, delivering public presentations, and employing a consultative approach to work.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and public speaking abilities.
  • Self-motivated, organized, analytical, professional, and dedicated to excellence.

Travel Requirements:
Estimated travel for this position is approximately 50-60% each month.
