About the Role

Sysco is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections: Conduct regular inspections on all fleet vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and Repair Complex Issues: Use your expertise to diagnose and repair complex issues with our vehicles, including electrical and refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document all work performed on work orders and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other technicians and supervisors to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience: In fleet maintenance and repair, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines.
  • ASE Certifications: Hold current certifications in automotive or medium/heavy-duty trucks.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift and move heavy equipment, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet the physical demands of the job.
