Job Summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices for maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
  • Current and valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks
  • 609 HVAC Certification
Work Environment

The Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II will work in a fast-paced maintenance environment, with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment, tools, and chemicals. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
