About the Role

Sysco is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles, including inspections, oil changes, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Work with senior technicians to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices for diesel engine maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
  • ASE certifications in diesel engines and transmissions.
  • Knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
