POSITION SUMMARY

The Custodial Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a hygienic and secure living environment for residents. This position encompasses a range of cleaning responsibilities across various facilities, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance tasks across individual units, communal spaces, and external areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Perform cleaning duties in shared areas, including vacuuming, mopping, and washing surfaces.
  • Manage waste disposal processes, adhering to safety protocols for trash removal.
  • Monitor and report on cleanliness and maintenance needs throughout the premises.
  • Assist with light maintenance tasks, particularly in vacated units.
  • Execute floor care procedures, including stripping, waxing, and buffing.
  • Implement pest control measures as necessary.
  • Change light bulbs in common areas as required.
  • Support maintenance staff and vendors as needed.
  • Help maintain inventory levels in supply closets as directed.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts for floods or fires when requested.
  • Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Facility Manager to address and complete work orders.
  • Engage in team meetings and training sessions focused on safety and operational goals.
  • Conduct inspections of vacant units.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of two years in janitorial or maintenance roles, preferably in multifamily or hospitality settings.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; certification in fall prevention training is preferred or must be obtained shortly after hire.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
