Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse will include:
  1. Providing specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
  2. Monitoring and assessing patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
  3. Administering medications and performing procedures as required.
  4. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  5. Educating patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
