Role Summary: The Teacher's Assistant will support the classroom team in delivering a child-focused, high-quality early childhood education program. The role involves fostering a safe and nurturing environment that promotes each child's growth and development while encouraging parental involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of educational activities and provide support to individual children or small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Engage positively with children throughout the day, modeling appropriate language and behavior.
  • Facilitate positive meal experiences by demonstrating proper etiquette and assisting children with self-help skills.
  • Support the classroom teacher with non-instructional tasks, including managing classroom materials and assisting with children's daily routines.
  • Provide one-on-one support to assigned children and accompany them to therapy services as required.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the primary educators.
  • Implement behavior plans and assist in monitoring children's progress.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding family and child information.
  • Participate in required training and meetings as directed.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent is required.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States and pass background checks.

Work Environment: The position is based in an early learning center and may involve physical activities such as lifting children and engaging in play.

Physical Requirements: Candidates should be able to perform essential functions that may include standing, walking, lifting, and using hands for various tasks.
