Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our team at US Foods. The successful candidate will provide technical support and infrastructure services to our corporate offices and distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and resolve incident and request tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document problem resolution and communicate impact to internal customers.
  • Identify, document, and escalate issues to other support functions as needed.
  • Utilize our current ITSM tool and intake methods to document and record all IT issues and activities.
  • Assist in supporting meetings at assigned locations from an audio/visual/computing standpoint.
  • Deploy technical solutions, including scheduling, testing, installation, user training, and onboarding.
  • Install and configure hardware and software, following USF best practices and policy.
  • Manage change activities for employee technical events, including equipment setup, installation, and removal.
  • Partner with the distribution center Operations team during peak shipping hours to resolve technical equipment returns and repairs.
  • Assist in inventory tracking of IT assets and manage stock of essential spare parts and equipment.
  • Facilitate vendor repair and maintenance activities, including scheduling and coordinating onsite work.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of knowledge in the technologies used within IT, including Windows Desktop environment configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Desktop troubleshooting skills, PC hardware build and configuration skills, and general knowledge of handheld devices and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel between local offices up to 5% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A+ or any Microsoft certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of WLAN technologies, LAN technologies, server operating systems, and third-party software.
Work Environment

This role will be based in a remote region and will require travel to multiple sites as needed.

Compensation

The expected base rate for this role is between $26 and $39 per hour, and the role will also receive overtime compensation.
