Position Overview
The Consumer Banker II will engage with current clients and seek new clientele to enhance relationships through direct business transactions and referrals to internal partners such as Mortgage, Wealth Management, Small Business Banking, and Treasury Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate account openings and maintenance tasks.
  • Manage a Teller drawer as required by management.
  • Enhance client engagement through proactive outreach and follow-up communications.
  • Conduct daily activities that reflect the First Financial Bancorp Experience, including collaboration with internal teams to provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with clients.
  • Adhere to operational and risk management standards.
  • Assist clients with transactions across various channels including branch, drive-thru, phone, and email.
  • Exemplify First Financial's Mission and Values in interactions with peers and clients.
  • Comply with all regulatory and compliance procedures.
  • Collaborate with District Specialists to implement retail strategies aimed at attracting and retaining core client relationships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, fostering deep relationships through effective communication.
  • Participate actively in team meetings to support sales and service initiatives.
  • Meet or exceed established sales, service, and referral goals through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Provide digital support to clients utilizing the bank's online services.
  • Stay informed about all bank products and services, particularly those that are complex.
Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of client service experience in a retail banking environment.
  • 3-4 years of sales and service experience with a proven track record of achieving goals.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Possession of notary authorization is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of banking products and effective sales skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in sales.
Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to address a diverse range of client needs in accordance with bank policies.
  • Capability to lead teams when necessary.
Decision-Making and Independence
  • Work with minimal supervision while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Utilize subject-matter expertise to provide guidance to others.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently lift and carry items up to 10 lbs.
  • Engage in sitting, standing, walking, and driving activities regularly.

All associates are responsible for adhering to compliance requirements as mandated by federal and state laws, as well as First Financial Bancorp policies. This includes compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering regulations, and other relevant requirements.
