Through the DoD SkillBridge program, SNC offers valuable internships for service members transitioning to civilian careers. These internships provide up to six months of practical, on-the-job training for eligible military personnel.

During this period, participants will acquire essential work experience in the civilian domain and establish professional networks to facilitate their transition to full-time employment.


As an Avionics Technician, you will leverage your skills to conduct avionics maintenance in accordance with FCC, FAA, and company standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing moderately complex installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics components.
  • Maintaining test equipment, tools, and manuals.

Essential Qualifications:
To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be currently serving as active duty military and qualify for the DoD SkillBridge program.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, with typically five or more years of relevant experience.
  • Have the ability to comprehend and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, soldering, and crimping techniques.
  • Have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
  • Pass written, oral, and practical assessments.
  • Be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following are advantageous:

  • Familiarity with FCC and FCC GROL.
  • Basic understanding of spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and/or pitot static equipment.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, U.S. Department of Defense, or U.S. Military.
  • Ability to install and maintain fiber optic cables and systems onboard military aircraft per MIL-STD 1678.
  • Experience with wide-body aircraft, including but not limited to Boeing 767, 777, and 747.
  • Basic computer operation skills.
