About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intern in the Aerospace Engineering department at Select Industries Corp. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including inventory management, quality control, and document review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and setup of new inventory locations and relocate existing inventories to new locations.
- Conduct research and analysis on existing inventory to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Scan documents into our ERP system and maintain accurate records.
- Perform time studies and analyze data to optimize processes.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and faxing documents.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Engineering, Human Resources, Quality, and Sales.
- Participate in special projects, such as document review and filing, and assist with other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Human Factors Engineering, Quality, Safety, Sales, or Human Resources.
- Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
- Ability to think critically and problem-solve.
- Proficient in word processing, Excel, and other computer software.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
Work Environment:
This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The selected candidate will be required to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
