Key Responsibilities- Supervise the assembly and testing of Industrial Control Panels based on schematic wiring diagrams and bills of materials.
- Load software programs and conduct testing of PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
- Utilize scheduling software and checklists to ensure timely completion and shipment of all panel shop jobs.
- Review schematics and bills of materials to guarantee error-free assembly by technicians.
- Oversee equipment wiring on the manufacturing floor to ensure proper installation and routing of conduits and wiring.
- Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose control panels and/or equipment prior to shipment.
- Process all necessary paperwork associated with job assignments.
- Collaborate with purchasing and vendors to maintain inventory levels for essential parts and supplies.
- Continuously assess processes within the panel shop to identify deficiencies and potential improvements.
- Engage with project line managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure panels meet precise specifications and standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Operate equipment such as Arc Flash Protective Equipment, computers, forklifts, scales, hand trucks, and dollies as needed in manufacturing activities.
- Work primarily indoors in a manufacturing environment, which may be noisy. Outdoor work may be required in adverse weather conditions for wiring tasks.
- Safety shoes and safety glasses are mandatory. Additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be necessary.
- Physical requirements include lifting objects manually or with a forklift, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and pulling wires, with occasional exertion exceeding 100 lbs.
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs from the floor to shelves and vice versa.
- Ability to climb stairs and operate a forklift as needed.
- The crew lead must demonstrate accuracy and a keen attention to detail in their own work and in overseeing the work of others.
- Preferred: 3 to 5 years of experience in electronic/electrical circuitry and control panel assembly.
- Preferred: 3 to 5 years of experience with electrical wiring systems and programming various types of controllers.
- Typically requires an associate's degree in electronic or electrical technology or equivalent work experience.
Full Time – 40 Hours/Week, Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
