Aveanna Healthcare Private Duty Nurse LVN Job Description

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals at Aveanna Healthcare, where we provide high-quality home health services to medically fragile children and adults. As a Private Duty Nurse LVN, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to our patients and their families.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide skilled nursing care to our patients in their homes, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality care, document patient progress, and communicate effectively with our care team.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Patient assessments and coordination of care
  • Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Compliant, timely documentation of care provided
  • Health promotion, teaching, and training of family members
  • Accepting and writing verbal orders from physicians as required

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting
  • Home health experience
