JOB OVERVIEW:

As a Certified Fitness Coach, you will play a crucial role in assisting members to achieve their individual fitness and wellness objectives by providing a tailored training experience. Our team is dedicated to promoting a positive fitness environment and ensuring an exceptional member journey.

The Certified Fitness Coach collaborates with the Fitness Manager and General Manager to uphold the brand's values, enhance member satisfaction, and meet business targets through the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve sales and service objectives by conducting personal training sessions, small group training, or team training.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by guiding new members through their programs and ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Drive Personal Training revenue through self-promotion, consultations based on leads, and participation in departmental initiatives.
  • Promote and sell personal training packages to help meet monthly performance goals.
  • Act as a knowledgeable source of fitness and nutrition guidance for members.
  • Organize and schedule personal training sessions while ensuring high-quality service during these sessions.
  • Maintain open communication with management and team members regarding facility operations and training protocols.
  • Attend all required meetings as directed.
  • Uphold company standards by ensuring the facility is clean, safe, enjoyable, and welcoming.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A strong passion for fitness, health, and wellness.
  • Valid Personal Training certification from an accredited program is required.
  • A four-year or advanced degree in a related field may be accepted in lieu of a personal training certificate.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Capability to adapt to interruptions, shifting priorities, and a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy in handling sensitive company information.
  • CPR/AED certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The role requires frequent walking and standing for up to 8 hours a day, as well as the ability to sit for extended periods. Employees may encounter cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary. The position may involve lifting, carrying, or moving items up to 50 pounds.
