Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Certified Personal Trainer plays a vital role in assisting members to achieve their individual fitness and wellness objectives by delivering a comprehensive training experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about fitness and dedicated to fostering an exceptional member journey.

The Certified Personal Trainer collaborates with the Fitness Manager and General Manager to embody the brand ethos, enhance member satisfaction, and fulfill business targets through the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve sales and service objectives by conducting personal training sessions, small group training, or team training.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to members by guiding them through new member programs and ensuring all expectations are met and surpassed.
  • Meet Personal Training revenue targets through self-marketing, consultations based on leads, and departmental initiatives.
  • Facilitate the sale of personal training packages to help meet monthly goals.
  • Act as a knowledgeable source of fitness and nutrition guidance for members.
  • Organize personal training appointments with members and ensure the delivery of these sessions.
  • Maintain open communication with management and team members regarding all aspects of facility operations and training protocols.
  • Participate in all mandatory meetings as required.
  • Uphold company standards by ensuring the facility is clean, safe, enjoyable, and welcoming.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong passion for fitness, health, and wellness.
  • Current certification in Personal Training from an accredited program is mandatory.
  • A four-year degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of a personal training certification.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage interruptions, shifting priorities, and a dynamic work environment with tight deadlines.
  • Self-driven with high energy and a positive demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Exhibit good judgment, confidentiality, and diplomacy when handling sensitive company information.
  • CPR/AED certification is required within the first month of employment.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

In this role, employees will frequently walk and stand for up to 8 hours a day and may be required to sit for extended periods. Exposure to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles may occur, and designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as directed. Employees may also need to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
