Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative Senior plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient registration and financial transactions. This position requires a high level of expertise in patient access operations, with a focus on quality assurance, customer service, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient registration with minimal assistance, ensuring accurate and timely collection of patient information.
  • Conduct registration audits to ensure compliance with government payer regulations and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance mechanisms to ensure high-quality patient registration and financial transactions.
  • Provide training and onboarding for newly hired employees, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless admission and discharge process.
  • Collect and confirm complete patient demographic information, including employer, financial information, emergency contact, insurance, subscriber ID, etc.
  • Collect out-of-pocket liabilities from patients upfront and apply, adjust, and reconcile daily point-of-service cash reports.
  • Prepare and reconcile cash deposits as necessary.
Requirements
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires at least 12 months of experience as a Patient Access Representative, with a competency score of 95% or higher.
  • Experience in acute hospital, surgical center, or outpatient center preferred.
  • Active CHAA Certification preferred.
  • Typing skills of 35-45 words per minute.
  • Thorough knowledge and proficiency with MSExcel and MSWord.
Working Conditions

This position requires a high level of professionalism, with a focus on customer service, quality assurance, and team leadership. The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. The position does not provide patient care.
