Position Overview
This role is integral to the mission of Knowledge Services, focusing on supporting individuals in the social services sector as an Eligibility Advisor.

As an Eligibility Advisor, you will play a crucial role in the assessment and processing of applications from residents seeking public assistance. Your responsibilities will encompass determining eligibility for various programs, including cash assistance, food assistance, and healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to collect necessary information for all relevant assistance programs, either in person or through phone interactions.
  • Ensure that all data is accurately compiled and complies with state regulations.
  • Gather necessary documentation, including release forms and medical records.
  • Assess financial and legal documents, including income and asset verification.
  • Provide clients with clear explanations of program regulations and requirements.
  • Utilize automated systems to evaluate eligibility for state assistance programs.
  • Perform data entry tasks into the state database.
  • Address inquiries promptly via phone or email.
Qualifications
  • Highly organized and analytical with a collaborative spirit.
  • Experience in case management is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Basic mathematical abilities.
  • Demonstrated case management capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and dependable, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Counseling or Social Services is preferred, though a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a social service setting, particularly in employment or training programs, is desirable.

Individuals with prior experience as a Case Manager, Eligibility Specialist, or similar roles are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Physical Requirements
