About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and sustaining automation solutions and advanced IIoT/Industry 4.0 technologies in support of manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop physical automation solutions, including robots, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems
  • Integrate automation solutions with business systems, primarily using Ignition
  • Collaborate with the factory to identify, develop, and deploy process automation systems and digital solutions
  • Exposure to full I4.0 project lifecycle, from requirements generation to technical project management to execution and sustainment of automation projects
Requirements
  • Typically requires BS in an Engineering field or the sciences (STEM)
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations/engineering, systems engineering, controls engineering, and/or automation engineering
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Fanuc Robotics experience
  • Rockwell PLC experience
  • Keyence, Cognex, or iRVision programming experience
  • Python or other scripting experience
